Betty asks…
Are reverse number lookup sites legit?
I’m trying to find out who keeps calling my cell phone. I’ve tried calling them back but they never answer and the message is just the standard recording without their name or voice.
I’ve tried using Yahoo and Google to search but no results.
I did find the site below, and they told me the town where the owner lives. But for the full report with name and details I have to pay $15. Has anyone tried these services? Are they legit? Will I get real info back?

thanks guys!

I disagree. I’ve used services like the one you mention before and was happy with the results. I’m sure some of them might be scams, but if you’re getting the info that you need, its worth a few bucks.
Also, white pages and search engines do not work for cell phones because the numbers are unlisted.

Richard asks…
Phone stalker? Should I call the police?
For a while (idk, a month), a strange person has been phoning my house. They call at least once a day, at any time of the day or night. They call in the morning, in the afternoon, the evening… they even called at midnight a couple days ago. When I pick up, nobody answers, and I either hear people talking (men and/or women and/or kids) faintly in the background. It could be the TV but I’m leaning more towards real people. Sometimes it sounds like they’re talking in a different language, but not always. It could just be because they seem far away. Anyways, I try to call back but nobody picks up. Ever.
I want this to stop. It’s freaking me and my parents out (I’m a teenager), but mostly me. I have the number and I did a reverse search on the internet and found out the city in which the phone (a cell) was registered, as well as the company (Rogers Wireless).
I don’t know what to do. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Just dial “0″ on your phone to speak to the operator and explain the situation to her
she can look up the log and even block that person with no problem.

Chris asks…
Afraid husband is chatting with a 16 year old?
My husband and I are currently seperated and live in seperate homes, I have recently checked our phone bill online (we have cells and a joint account) and he has been talking to someone on the phone in another state, in the middle of the night, for up to 4 hours at a time. I was curious, so I made a new email account and starting chatting with him as if I were a stranger (please dont preach at me for that) and I believe the girl he is chatting with on and offline is under 18, I actually believe she is around 16. I dont want him to get in serious trouble for this, but he needs to stop this before he does actually get in trouble, or before he does something awful. Obviously if there is nothing else I can do, other than report him I would, I would never put a child at risk, EVER. Is there ANYTHING i can do to scare him into stopping this now? I believe this her private phone line, it is a land line. (I did a reverse phone search.) Im unsure if the girl knows his real age, or not.
I am NOT trying to ok what he is doing, and I am NOT ok with it. I am more concerned about HER than him, and I dont have any proof she is under 18, just a suspicion, and I dont know if she knows his real age either.
Obviously if he is doing this, we are not staying married.

I can sympathize with you and your dillemma, but if your gut is telling you that this is going on it probably is. Trust your inner feelings. Maybe you could contact her or her parents annomynously and give them a warning. Then tell him you know what he is doing and to stop it. Try to find out why he feels the need to trust a 16yr. Old with his feelings or lack of them …hope this helps.

It really is kind of crazy. But before you go blowing the whistle, you need more details.
Is he breaking any laws? Are you SURE she’s 16? Or is she 18? Where do you live? Did you know in some states, the legal age for consent is 16? Just check up on the facts of your state and find out how old she is before blowing the whistle. I’m not saying what he’s doing is right, I’m just saying that you want to be sure of things if you report anything.
